Leaders & oofrasLINKS

This is a space just for OOFRAS leaders and links. That is, members who lead action and link people together.

Their presense and work create space and support for others to also engage and action OOFRAS vision. eg board of directors, local action groups, interest groups, regional networks, university links etc.

Being a leader or an oofrasLINK takes servant-leadership. . .measuring your impact by how much and how well others engage in OOFRAS vision (meeting people where they are at and progressing OOFRAS vision from there) rather than just your own participation in it.

Leadership is about values      

Selflessness We make decisions solely in terms of public interest and never for personal gain 
Integrity We don’t put ourselves under obligation to others that might influence how we undertake our public duties
Objectivity We make choices based on merit in the course of public business and foster a culture of open dissent
Accountability We submit our decision making and actions to public scrutiny and ensure individual accountability
Openness We are transparent with our decision making and actions and cultivate a climate of trust and candor
Honestly We declare conflicts of private interest with our public role and resolve them to protect public interest
Leadership We lead by example and reward initiative, participation, energy, contribution to discussion and roles
