How can I end up in a position to influnce things in directions for more equitable, accessible OT services?
1/ opt in - ie embrace your dissatisfaction with status quo, and be
part of the solution.
2/ get grounded - ie get confident in your platform of "humans are
occupational beings; occupational opportunities are necessary for people
and society to be healthy, well and just"
3/ dream and scheme - ie be able to see and articulate an alternate
future(dream) and the first few steps (scheme)
4/ act in your circle of influence - ie start where you are, your
influence will grow accordingly because inertia is the norm
5/ get smart - ie raw enthusiasm will go a long way, then to take it to
the next level you need to learn how to leverage your efforts for the
biggest "bang for your buck".
